SMX East 2010 Recap
Another Search Marketing Expo has come and gone. Great job Avi Wilensky for your presentation on YouTube Video Ad Tactics, and to Max Oshman for your presentation on Mobile Apps. Take a look at the session recaps on Search Engine Roundtable, there were some interesting ones. I enjoyed the presentation given by Conrad Saam of Avvo.com, he spoke about the legal ramifications of user generated content – pretty interesting – that unfortunately, users don’t have much sway when it comes to suing companies for any slander posted about them; according to law, publishers are not responsible for user comments.
Also, a lot of focus on Facebook Marketing and Twitter, surprise surprise. I honestly was not that impressed with those sessions, a lot of basic 101 stuff in there. Was hoping for some advanced strategy. But hey, if you are new to FB and Twitter marketing, hopefully you learned a thing or two.
Avi and I will be in Chicago in two weeks for Search Engine Strategies; Avi will speaking on the very cutting edge topic of crowdsourcing. See you all there!
